2007/2008 - Under 10s Match Reports

Back to the Cup this week and a difficult trip away at Huntingdon Rowdies.

We started off well (or so I'm told as I got there late!) and created some chances, particularly from corners. Jordan and Jon were playing well together up front, Jamie and Grace in midfield, and Seb and Joe holding it together at the back. Lewis was always available to sweep up any trouble. We conceded an unfortunate goal with us just not being able to get the ball clear from our penalty area.

After that we were the equal of the Rowdies side. We competed very well for the ball, and created some chances towards the end. Jamie had a couple of close range efforts saved, Jon had one saved, and Jordan and Grace had a couple of chances. Having Matt back in defence also meant that Joe could get forward more to create chances.

A bit unlucky to lose today as I thought we played very well. We are still to score our first goal of 2008 though!

Player of the week this week went to Grace for a great performance - always looking for the ball, and getting her tackles in.
